Dear Nadela Clan Members,
I had to have my son Brian assist me to make this contribution because I am not good at using computers.
I am the eldest of the 10 offsprings of the couple Gerardo Gabuya Nadela and Teodorica Sanchez Cabrera. Both my parents were public school teachers. Father retired from the Abellana High School where he taught Biology. Mother retired from Pardo Elementary School. I married another physician, Dr. Pepito K Batayola from Bantayan.
We have only one child- Brian who is now married to Daphnie R. Ferrer. They have one son, 3 year old Brenden. We live at 92 Jaca Street, Pardo Cebu City with telephone number 272-9181. Both my husband and me are retired physicians. I was a Philippine government physician for more than 33 years and my husband was a private school physician for about the same duration. At present we are enjoying retirement and we also attend to some patients here at home, many of them relatives and friends and indigents.
I have 9 younger brothers and sisters. Sibling number 2 is Ernestina, married to Sngelo
Salutillo. They have 2 children, Mark and Eric and they live in Chicago.
Dibling number 3 is Patrocinia. She is a retired teacher and married to Melchor Sagge. They have 3 children- Pamela, John and Dorreen.
Sibling number 4 is Gerardo, Jr. He is married to Letty Sibayan and they have 2 boys, Michael Dave and Roy Alvin.
Sibling number 5 is Ranulfo. He is married to Nelia Mercado and they hava a daughter Meighan. They live in Texas.
Sibling number 6 is Virgilio, married to Aurora Rabaya. They live in Chicago. They have 2 children Nina Ricci and Nikolai.
Sibling number 7 is Maria Asuncion, married to William Drawer, live in Chicago and have 2 children, Michelle and Andrew.
Sibling number 8 is Mario, married to Yolanda Jumapao. They are childless and they live in Chicago.
Number 9 is Cristino. He is divorced and with 2 sons, Jeffrey and Jonathan. They live in Chicago.
Number 10 is Liduvino or Loven, married to Bliss Monsalud, and with a daughter Hannah.
All 10 of us siblings are supposed to relocate to the US but the 2 of us me and Patrocinia or Ninye returned to Pardo after a brief stay in the US. Gerardo Jr. and his wife Letty still go back and forth to the US to keep their status as immigrants.
My paternal grandparents are Diego Bascon Nadela from Tabunok and Regina Ocampo Gabuya from Pardo. I know of 5 of my father's siblings, namely Justo or Untong, Aaron, Lydia or Diyay, Damiana or Daming, and Balbino or Balbin. My father Gerardo, Sr. was the youngest. They are now all deceased. They used to live in Cogon Pardo. I hava anumber of cousins on my father's side. Only Mama Daming died single and without children.
Well, that is all for now. It would be fun and interesting to keep in touch with relatives.

Hi to Chester Ian Nadela,
When your Lolo Nong Inting and Lola Nang Feling were still alive, my parents and my siblings, especially Ernesto, Sister Linda and Yoly, were frequent visitors to their house at Private Road, because my father Felipe was doing bookkeeping jobs for Nong Inting, who was an Accountant.
There were a few times when I was able to tag along, but during those times, your father Roy was, I think, not in Cebu and so I was never able to get to know him better.

This is to say Hi to Dr. Antonio Nadela, his wife, and their daughter, Dra. Aileen Nadela,
I met them this afternoon, Nov. 24, after I stumbled upon their dental clinic at Makahambus St., Cagayan de Oro City, while roaming around the City to fulfill certain official business commitments.
My attention was caught by the signs hanging in front of their clinic with the names of : Dr. Antonio Nadela, Dr. Alexander Nadela and Dr. Aileen Nadela.
At once, I decided to meet them and enthusiastically asked to see Dr. Antonio.
Shortly, he appeared and I introduced myself and immediately encouraged him to send their family data for posting at the website.
We talked for some time about the reunion, our families, and his difficulties in completing his family tree because he could no longer remember those important personalities who are the missing links who could have shed light on which branch of Nadela his family tree belongs.
When time permits, I will try to locate his son, Dr. Alexander, whose clinic is at Mayon St., Quezon City.

I would like to thank Tet Gambito, Junrey Nadela (ABS-CBN Cebu, Gil Nadela, Celerino Nadela Cabanca, Sr. and all the rest of the core group who organized the recent Nadela Reunion at Bulacao Gym, Talisay, Cebu.
Unfortunately I was in San Pablo City on the day of the reunion to address some urgent concerns.
At least Fred was able to attend to represent our family tree and to gather more information.
Hoping to be there next time.

I'm Ian Nadela; I'm the son of Casimiro Nadela, the son of Vicente Deiparine Nadela. My grandmother was Feliciana Regner Nadela. Their children are Casimiro (my father), Victoria (married to Bert Deang), and Candido (married to Delia Martinez Nadela). Date and Time: 8 November, 2008, the whole day
Venue: SUGBU, South Reclamation Properties, Cebu City
Nature: Informal Family Gathering (organized by chapters)
Food: Pot luck and carenderia delicacies for sale.
For those that may not have time or the inclination to bring their own provisions, a six-course buffet and pre-packed lunch will be prepared. However, reservations are required so that enough food will be prepared for those that may wish to avail of the service.
Also, some pledges for lechon have been made and will also be posted here once confirmed.
Activities: Mass offering, free medical clinic, denture fitting, optical services, Nadela craft and services booths, tabu and garage sale and a variety show.

Im mara from california. Im actually not a Nadela.. But i am a big supporter of Philip. I couldn't find any other way to get ahold of him or his parents. So I thought that maybe this way i can get ahold of his parents.

hi to all...im very overwhelmed that there are more than hundreds of nadelas roaming around specially in cebu...i came from minglanilla, my grandparents came from inayagan, then some camefrom carcar. but with my family tree were situated at minglanilla, my father whcih is a music lover, fond of the guitar strings, passed away last year because of cancer...anyways im happy to be able to search this site. thnx |

You have an interesting site and am impressed by the number of persons that have been added to the genealogy. I have tried to upload my family tree, but looks like I am unable to do so.
In a recent Nadela gathering in Carcar, the group mentioned the existence of this web site. I offered to open up one, but found that I did not have all the skills for it.
There is no sense in duplicating your site, but we have a need update plans and information for a reunion which we are planning to hold on November 3, 2008. I have opened another site at **
It is currently free-form (meaning, I start each page from scratch). Its a lot faster than trying to learn and implement one of these content management software. I will make do with this in the meantime, but will try to bring it to the level of your site.
You are welcome to use any material on my site whether by linking to it or using bits of information for whatever projects or articles you may want to do.

Your information is very interesting. I have often wondered if there are Nadelas whose roots are not from the Visayas.
Specifically, I have been wondering why there are Nadelas in Baguio and in some other parts of Luzon and how they are related to me - a Nadela from the Visayas.
I hope we can trace the relations in the future!

i also belong to the nadela clan but we are from the southern tagalog part of the philippines from the town of sariaya province of quezon...my grandfather's name is fructuoso nadela, his brother is luis nadela, the king archer of the philippines..and i have also lolos and lolas that are very good singers in the province of quezon...proud to be nadela....... |
