Congratulations to Philip Nadela - the 1st PDA Little Dreamer Grand Champion!
Nine years old Philip garnered 191,060 votes (40.47% ) to win the title PDA Little Dreamer 2008 Grand Champion. For his performance Philip took home the grand price of Sony home theater with 32” LCD Sony Bravia, a House and Lot from St. Monique Valais, and 1 Million Pesos in cash.
During the competition, Philip performed the following songs:
Philip Cesar Nadela hails from General Santos City. He is the son of PO3 Cesar Nadela, who is the youngest son of Gregorio Nadela. Gregorio together with his brother & sisters migrated from Cebu and settled in North Cotabato sometime in the early 1900s. Gregorio, who is now 87 years old, is so happy seeing his grandson Philip singing in PDA.
Philip initially auditioned for ABS CBN's Little Big Star and he was one of the remaining contestants to be introduced when the show opens later this year. However, when his family learned that there is a search for little dreamers for PDA, they let Philip audition for the show. He is again lucky to get in.
He is now enrolled in an elementary school in Quezon City. He transferred from his old school in General Santos to be able to participate in PDA Little Dreamers. - (excerpts from Sonny James Nadela's comments & from byron @ www.byronblogs.com)

ABS-CBN informed us that they have to changed the surnames of the LDs hours before the Grand Dream Night started. We apologized for all the Nadela clans out there about this confusion. Even the grandparents of Philip reacted when they saw the screenname of Philip in TV last sunday.
Another clarification, Philip is born and baptized in Catholic faith. His father is Ex-INC member, he was "tiwalag" before marrying Philip's mom. Mgen Nadela is right, Philip is always wearing his necklace with a cross pendant all the time.

Daghang salamat sa pag suporta kay Philip sa nilabay nga kumpetisyon sa PDA LD. Unta magkita ta sa duol nga panahon. We are planning to join the Nadela clan reunion in Cebu with Philip. We hope to see our relatives in Cebu. Please help as well trace our ancestors there in Cebu. Thanks a lot.

Catholic po si Philip. Si Tito Cesar and Ex-INC member. But despite our religious beliefs, we are so thankful to all INC members who supported for Philip last Sunday. Most of our relatives in Midsayap are INC and there were only three among the siblings of my dad are Catholic that includes Philip's dad, my dad and Tito Che who's the one supporting Philip to try his luck in singing. Again thanks a lot.
